About the event
The Ball Out Foundation is hosting its 1st Annual Friends and Family Gun Awareness Kickball Game. National Gun Violence Awareness Day, also known as Wear Orange Day, is observed on the first Friday of June each year to honor survivors and victims of gun violence. The day is commemorated through peaceful gatherings and social media posts of individuals wearing orange, highlighting the daily toll of gun violence in America. Proceeds will support the LaKevin DeBruce Scholarship Grant.

Participants can register as either a "Friend of Lakevin" or a "Family Member of Lakevin." Participation in the game requires a $5 fee. Additionally, participants may opt to buy a shirt with their registration, or a shirt and food combo. Available food options include hotdogs, cheeseburgers, hamburgers, chips, and drinks. Individual registrants will be assigned to a team.
